Overview
SundaHus Miljödata is a Swedish environmental assessment and database system for building products used in construction and property management. At its core is a searchable database of substances, materials, and products that have been evaluated for their health and environmental impact across the full building lifecycle — from manufacturing and construction through to use, demolition, and waste.
Each product is assessed based on manufacturer documentation and evaluated against the Swedish Chemical Inspectorate's PRIO criteria and the EU REACH directive. Assessments consider the constituent substances and raw materials in a product, as well as its environmental and health hazards at each stage of the building process. Products are then awarded a letter grade from A to D, with A representing the best environmental profile.
The system is designed for property owners, project managers, contractors, and suppliers working across all phases of a construction or property management project — from design and procurement through to operation. It provides a structured, consistent way to make informed material choices and document product-related requirements throughout a building's life.
