GLOBALG.A.P. is a globally recognized certification program that sets voluntary standards for Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) across primary production sectors, including fruits and vegetables, flowers, fish, and animal feed. Developed by a private sector body and backed by a third-party audit system, the certification is designed to help producers demonstrate that their operations meet rigorous benchmarks in food safety, environmental responsibility, worker health and welfare, and animal welfare. It operates as a business-to-business standard, meaning it functions within supply chains rather than as a consumer-facing label.

The program covers more than 10 standards for primary production and supply chain processes, with additional add-ons that allow for flexible customization to fit different production contexts. Certification is conducted by over 190 approved certification bodies worldwide, and the program currently covers more than 195,000 producers across 130+ countries. It is particularly relevant for producers who supply to international retailers, food service companies, or other buyers that require verified compliance with globally accepted farming standards.
