Krav

KRAV is Sweden's primary organic certification program, operated by KRAV Ekonomisk förening. It sets detailed standards for organic production, conducts inspections against those standards, and certifies products that meet them across the full supply chain — from raw material production through to the end consumer. The KRAV label appears on food and other agricultural products sold in Sweden.

The standards go beyond basic organic requirements. They cover the entire production system and its impact on the surrounding environment, addressing factors such as the avoidance of chemical pesticides, animal welfare, climate impact, and biodiversity. Social justice and workers' rights are also formally incorporated into the standards, making KRAV's approach broader than many comparable organic schemes.

KRAV certification is relevant for farmers, food producers, processors, and others operating in Swedish agricultural supply chains who want to demonstrate compliance with organic and sustainability principles.
