NATURTEXTIL Best

NATURTEXTIL Best is the premium certification standard issued by the International Association of Natural Textile Industry (IVN) for textile products that meet exceptionally rigorous environmental and social requirements. It is designed for manufacturers who want to demonstrate the highest level of integrity across the entire textile supply chain, from raw fiber to finished garment.

To earn this certification, products must be made from 100% certified organic natural fibers, and processing methods are tightly restricted — limiting practices such as bleaching, chlorination, and mercerization. The use of dyes and chemical auxiliaries is strictly controlled, and hazardous substances including formaldehyde, heavy metals, PCP, TCP, and AOX are prohibited. Accessories such as buttons and trims must also be made from natural raw materials, and finished garments are subject to residue testing to verify compliance.

Beyond environmental criteria, NATURTEXTIL Best incorporates strong social standards, requiring adherence to ILO labor conventions and the payment of living wages throughout the supply chain. The certification is active across a number of European countries as well as Turkey, making it particularly relevant for manufacturers operating in or supplying to European markets who want to credibly signal best-in-class sustainability performance.
