ORC-Cert Organic Seal

The ORC-Cert Organic Seal is a certification program administered by the Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre Certification Limited (ORC-Cert) for agricultural producers and food processors operating in Hong Kong and mainland China. It recognizes compliance with the ORC-Cert Organic Production and Processing Standard, providing a credible mark that communicates organic integrity to consumers and buyers.

The program offers three certification grades based on organic content. The highest grade applies to products where at least 95% of ingredients are certified organic, allowing them to be marketed as fully organic. A second grade covers products containing between 70% and 95% organic ingredients. A third grade is available for producers whose farmland is currently undergoing the conversion process to organic practices, acknowledging the transitional period required before full organic status can be achieved.

This certification is suited for farmers, growers, and food manufacturers in the region who want formal recognition of their organic practices and wish to differentiate their products in the market. The tiered structure makes it accessible to operations at different stages of their organic journey, from farms in transition to fully certified organic producers and processors.
