Green-e Marketplace

Green-e Marketplace is a certification program run by the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) that recognizes organizations in the United States and Canada that purchase certified renewable energy. Once certified, organizations are authorized to display the nationally recognized Green-e logo on their corporate communications, marketing materials, and products as a verified signal of their commitment to clean energy.

The program is designed for companies and organizations that want to credibly communicate their renewable energy use to customers, partners, and stakeholders. Rather than simply making a claim, Green-e Marketplace provides third-party verification that the renewable energy being used meets established consumer-protection and environmental standards — helping to prevent greenwashing and build trust.

Green-e Marketplace is administered by CRS, a nonprofit organization with deep expertise in renewable energy markets and policy. CRS developed the Green-e certification family as a consumer-protection mechanism for voluntary renewable energy markets, making it one of the most established and widely recognized certification standards in North America for renewable energy claims.
